They had two daughters. Nellie died after a house fire on 10th January 1980, she suffered from Multiple Sclerosis and was in a wheelchair. Bob was out shopping when the fire started. Nellie was rescued by fire fighters but sadly died later in hospital. (The story was covered by the local newspaper, Evening Star.
